The Natural Park Peñon de Ifach is a huge rock in the sea which divides the bay of Calpe. Rising to 332 metres high, the rock is a striking visual feature of the Mediterranean coastline. It is unique and really beautiful!

You will discover a small nature reserve, home for a large variety of plants, including endemic ones, and 80 species of birds.
It is really amazing to go there, advisable to go early to avoid high temperature. It is not necessary to be a mountain climber to do it. Just need good shoes and a bottle of water and follow the pathway. The walk starts at the information center office and progresses up the North face of the Rock. It is easy to arrive to the tunnel and it can be a nice activity to do on your own or with family or friends.
Continuing through the tunnel, the rocks are very slippery and the path from here can be hazardous for children because sometimes you need to clamber over the rocks.
If you continue and reach the summit, you will enjoy the fantastic views over the surrounding villages, countryside. On a clear day, you may see as far as Ibiza. If you are lucky, you may even see the seagulls with their newborn!
